Safer Guiding Training is an essential course for all Girlguiding volunteers, designed to help keep girls, young women, and volunteers safe in guiding. The training builds confidence and understanding around creating safe, inclusive, and supportive environments for everyone involved.

The course covers key topics including safeguarding responsibilities, recognising and responding to concerns, managing risk, and understanding Girlguiding policies and procedures. Through practical examples and discussion, volunteers will gain the knowledge they need to act appropriately and confidently if concerns arise.

Safer Guiding Training ensures all volunteers are equipped to uphold Girlguiding’s commitment to safety, wellbeing, and best practice — supporting positive, safe guiding experiences for all.

Please note both part 1 and part 2 must be completed to complete the training course.
