Girlguiding West Mercia are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2024, and 50FEST! is going to be our big celebration event. We invite all off our members to attend the main event on the Saturday, and our Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Inspire, Young Leaders and adult volunteers to join us for the full weekend. County

Girlguiding West Mercia takes its name from one of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms Mercia, which later changed to the Midlands. We cover the area around the city of Wolverhampton and the large towns of Dudley, Walsall and West Bromwich; as well as parts of the surrounding South Staffordshire area.

Divisions

Girlguiding West Mercia county is made up of 13 smaller areas, known as our divisions. Each of these divisions has a team who help to look after girls and leaders in their area.

Sections

We use the term Sections to describe the different age groups in guiding. Each section has its own programme of age-appropriate activities. Girls can move up to the next section when they reach the right age.
